Wine tourism at Tomàs Cusiné

The Tomàs Cusiné winery is more than a place to try good wines. It’s the sensation of a cellar full of wines with character, D.O. Costers del Segre and D.O. Conca de Barberà. A complete experience enjoying wine tourism and finding out about the origins of these Catalan wines.

You’ll discover the characteristics of the environment: the climate, the landscape and the colours of the region of Les Garrigues which make their wines unique.

Oller del Mas, a medieval country house

Visiting Oller del Mas means getting deep into the history of Catalonia. This 10th century country house is a complete cultural experience with the 400 hectares of cropland featuring views of the Montserrat mountains making it unforgettable.

The Oller del Mas country house is more than a place to sample wines.  Visiting it means surrendering to quality wine tourism and feeling the excellence of the Macabeo and Cabernet Franc vineyards. On this route, you’ll learn about the planting systems, the magic of the cellars and, finally, you’ll enjoy the privileged views of the estate.

A different kind of brunch among vineyards

To disconnect at the weekend, to switch the city for nature, to do something different. We suggest having brunch at a rural cottage where the Xarel·lo and Macabeo vineyards will surprise you while sampling the best local gastronomy.

The Can Parellada estate is located in Subirats, near Barcelona.  The 13 hectares full of greenery and nature are some 250 metres above sea level.  It’s the perfect place for wine tourism routes. You’ll be able to dig deep into the history of the cellar while having a unique brunch with traditional cured meats at the foot of the vineyard.  Is there really anything better?

Try D.O. Pla de Bages at the foot of the vat

Sampling a quality wine has to be more than just drinking with friends; it has to be an experience. In Pont de Vilamora i Rocafort, they know this, and that’s why they offer a different kind of wine tourism in Catalonia, sampling wines from different vats on a 6 km circular itinerary inside the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac Natural Park.

It’s an activity during which you’ll try several Catalan wines, the best in the area, with D.O. Pla de Bages, accompanied by snacks featuring local products. This adventure will allow you to really feel nature as you get to know the local history, which is full of interesting titbits.

Walk along the Roman Via Augusta

Would you like to feel like a Roman from the Imperial period? Try wine tourism at the Avgvstvs Forvum winery. You’ll sample wines cultivated from the vineyards located along Via Augusta where the Romans passed on the way to Tarraco. Plus, the winery is also known for its gourmet vinegars.  If you’re really curious, you can try them too!

It’s a wine route that’s really different from all the others where the sun, nature and ancient history will make you dream of coming back soon.

Feel nature in a Mehari

Wine routes can be done in many ways: on bike, walking and even in a classic Mehari. We suggest you spend a different kind of day in a very special car and have all sorts of adventures while learning more about the world of wine and cava.

It’s a fun trip for the whole family during which you’ll discover the hundred-year-old vineyards that produce the best local wines, the authentic D.O. Penedès.

This is one of the most special wine routes as you not only get to learn how to drive a Mehari but you’ll also get to know small nearly-deserted villages and arrive quite hungry for a picnic featuring Catalan products, which will awaken all five of your senses.

Catalonia is known for its gastronomy, landscapes and, of course, its wines. Some of the most outstanding are D.O. Penedès, D.O. Pla de Bages and D.O. Priorat. What are you waiting for to taste them all?
