Visit a farm where everything turns around a flock of sheep!
The guided visit to the farm of Mas Casas, in Cruïlles, is a way of explaining the importance of extensive livestock farming, the use of natural resources and the consumption of local products.
The visit begins by discovering the life that exists in the first 30cm of the soil, which is where all the microorganisms that generate life on the planet live, and the importance of the pasture of a flock of sheep to combat climate change.
It then explains how to care for a flock of sheep, respecting the animals’ natural life rhythms. Curiosities about this animal are also explained and the possibility to touch a lamb is offered.
Finally, the variety of products that can be obtained from a sheep are explained: lamb meat, skins, wool and milk.
During the activity, suitable for all ages, you go through different outdoor or closed areas of the farm. The milking parlor and the dairy farm are not open to visitors.

Practical information
- Guided tour of the farm
- Every Saturday of the year at 4 p.m.
- with the exception of the period from June 24 to September 1, which are held every thursday at 6 p.m.
- Duration of the activity: 1h 30m
- Catalan, Spanish, English and French
Prepare for the activity
- Cruïlles, Costa Brava. Mas Casas Cruïlles Farm must be put on Google Maps for exact location.
- The entire floor is paved with no steps except for the leisure area which is grass.
- We have adapted WC
- CCPAE organic agriculture certificate
- Pets are not allowed, except for guide dogs
Why can’t I bring my pet? We want to avoid any possible cause of stress in our herd and, specifically, other people’s dogs can be a focus.
